Advisory Board

VGI Partners’ Advisory Board comprises an external, independent group of experienced, investment management, finance and industry professionals drawn from leaders in the global business community to assist VGI. Each Advisory Board member can provide VGI guidance on matters relating to economic and financial market conditions, risk management, business operations and corporate strategy.

Rob J Campbell

Mr Campbell is an experienced global investor, company director and advisor based in New Zealand. Mr Campbell established and for many years ran one of New Zealand’s first and largest family offices. He is currently Chair of Summerset Group Holdings Ltd (NZ) and Tourism Holdings Ltd (NZ), and a director of Precinct Properties Ltd (NZ). Mr Campbell is also a director of private companies in which he has a direct investment interest in the property, finance, fund management, and private equity industries in New Zealand and offshore.

Danny Goldberg

Mr Goldberg is Executive Chairman and Principal of Dakota Corporation which is a global investor in Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate. Prior to this he co-founded Brentwood Corporation which owned and developed retail, commercial and residential projects in Australia and the United Kingdom. He was previously a Director of Byvest Management Buyout Group, a Manager at Pappas, Carter, Evans and Koop and an executive in the Corporate Advisory Division of Hill Samuel Australia. Mr Goldberg was appointed a Trustee of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington DC in 2016 and MoMA PS1 in New York in 2017. He was also awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for services to the visual arts and community. Mr Goldberg has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales.

Jordan C Green

Mr Green is Managing Director of Portland House Group’s New York office, where he co-manages a portfolio of global, developed market large capitalization equities. Previously, Mr Green worked for eight years as a corporate finance executive for ABN AMRO’s investment banking operations in Central & Eastern Europe, where he advised primarily on equity private placement transactions. Previously, Mr Green also worked as a public school teacher at Johnnie L. Cochran Middle School in Los Angeles, and as campaign manager for a number of U.S. congressional elections in New Hampshire’s 2nd district, as well as a staff member in the office of US Congressman Richard Swett (D-NH). Mr Green also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Hannah Senesh Community Day School in Brooklyn, NY, and on the Board of the Sepsis Alliance based in San Diego, CA. Mr Green holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College.

Walter M Lewin

Mr Lewin is currently a member of the Board and Investment Committee for OneVentures, a leading Australian based venture capital firm. Prior to joining VGI’s Advisory Board, Mr Lewin was Chair of the Advisory Board of OneVue Limited; Managing Director of Ord Minnett and member of its Management Committee; Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of Reverse Corp and a London based Principal of Elysium Capital Partners, a global investment manager based in New York and London.  Prior to this, Mr Lewin was Managing Director, Equities for Merrill Lynch in London after holding several senior positions in the Equities and Investment Banking divisions of SBC (now UBS) in London and Sydney. Mr Lewin has a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Queensland.

Benjamin Pronk

Mr Pronk has over 23 years’ experience in the Australian Army, the majority of which has been spent within Special Operations Command.  He has led at platoon, squadron and unit level, including on numerous combat deployments to Timor Leste, Iraq and Afghanistan, where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for leadership in action. Mr Pronk has also served on exchange with both the US and UK militaries. Mr Pronk has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales and a Masters of Arts in Defence Studies (Pass with Distinction) from Kings College London.

Adam N Shell

Mr Shell is an associate with Coast2Coast Capital, a global investment holding company specialising in acquiring family owned businesses. Prior to Coast2Coast, Mr Shell was a Partner and Investment Analyst with VGI Partners. Prior to VGI Partners, Mr Shell was an analyst with Citigroup in the Investment Banking Group. Mr Shell sits on the investment committee of Terrace Tower Group and Sandbar Investments. Mr Shell also serves as a member of the JCA Planning Committee. Mr Shell has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law from the University of New South Wales. Mr Shell has completed the CFA Program and has been awarded the CFA Charter.

David P N Symons

Mr Symons is experienced in investment banking, corporate strategy and corporate affairs. Mr Symons is currently Group Head of Media Relations at QBE Insurance Group, a property and casualty insurer based in Australia with operations worldwide, and previously held executive roles at Cato Counsel, ABN AMRO Capital, Macquarie Bank, Merrill Lynch and Promina Group. Mr Symons has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
